Thanksgiving 2021. Four adults gather around the table for food, fellowship, and a game of spades. As the cards fall, so do the filters—revealing the loyalties, memories, frustrations, and love that bind them together.
Written by Randall E. Hall and rooted in a distinctly Black cultural experience, Spades uses comedy and the familiar rituals of the card table to explore friendship, family, honesty, and the stories we carry into every room.
